One of the newest and most innovative Tea Rooms in Michigan, the Franklin Village Tea Room is a reprisal of the original Tea Room located in the historic district of the Village of Franklin. Set in this historic town, which was built by the early settlers from New York and Massachusetts, in the 1840’s, the Village of Franklin celebrated the opening of its first Franklin Village Tea Room in 1975. Closed for more than two decades, Kathi Russell has opened one of the most elegantly beautiful Tea Rooms in the country.

Decorated with lush florals and balloon shades, and adorning her tables with some of the most beautiful English china that can be found, this Tea Room is breathtaking for all those who visit. Beautiful, white linen tablecloths on English round tables with white chairs makes this Tea Room sparkle. The menu includes a variety of teas, sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Hosting a number of special events in the Franklin Village Tea Room including Bridal Shower Teas, Baby Shower Teas, Birthday Celebrations, Red Hat Ladies Teas, as well as entertaining and educational Children’s Tea Parties!

A bright and cheerful environment for all those who visit, the Franklin Village Tea Room is an experience for all. Huge windows overlooking the Village, with the sun shining through, this Tea Room is both elegant and cheerful. Visitors to the Tea Room will be treated to a free Walking Tour of Franklin, taking them on a self-guided tour from the “Cider Mill to the Cemetery”, walking past some of Franklins finest, old homes. While on your tour of Franklin, be sure to stop and see the Historic Snow House, just one block south of the Franklin Village Tea Room. This beautiful, old home has been restored to its original prominence. Situated on Franklin Road, today the Snow House is used by Villagers for fundraisers and other special event teas. The Snow House hosts an extensive collection of beautiful china and florals on display inside the house. Named for its most prominent resident, Alonzo Snow, the son of Scottish immigrants, this home is a polished gem in the heart of the historic district crown. The Snow House is a must see on your next visit to Frankin.
